Elk hunting at LP Ranch is built around one thing done right. Strong habitat, consistent movement, and the kind of ground elk want to use. The ranch holds a healthy population of resident elk that travel naturally across timber, sage, and open country, creating real opportunities for close, earned encounters. It’s the kind of setting where elk behave the way they should, and every hunt feels honest from start to finish.
Located within GMUs 11 and 211 northwest of Meeker, Colorado, The LP Ranch spans over 4000 acres of premier elk ground. The property sits against large stretches of surrounding public land, but access is controlled through the ranch, keeping pressure low and movement predictable. This is private land elk hunting the way it should be, with ground you can trust and hunts that reward patience, awareness, and effort.
LP Ranch offers a structured, well-run elk hunting experience built around access, preparation, and time in the field. From the moment you arrive, everything is set up to keep the focus where it belongs on the hunt itself.
Our team handles the logistics behind the scenes, from daily planning to in-field support, so you can stay focused on the terrain, the animals, and the conditions in front of you. Whether it’s your first time hunting this part of Colorado or you’ve spent years chasing elk, the experience is straightforward, efficient, and grounded in how these hunts are meant to be done.
Hunters will be accommodated in comfortable cabins at The LP Ranch during their stay. Meals will be served in the ranch house dining room in a family or banquet style for breakfast and dinner throughout your visit. Each hunter will also receive a packed lunch for their day out in the field.
During the fall months, Colorado experiences extreme weather conditions with nighttime temperatures dropping well below freezing and daytime temperatures ranging from the mid 50’s to 60’s. It is crucial to be adequately prepared for fluctuating temperatures and moisture levels.
Please plan to arrive at The LP Ranch at least one day prior to your elk hunt. This gives our team time to get you settled, go over logistics, and make sure your gear is ready to go. It also allows your body to adjust to the elevation before the hunt begins. A solid night of rest beforehand goes a long way.
All Packages are 5 Day Hunts - $7500.00 USD
Our hunts are built around access, mobility, and experienced guides who know how the game move throughout the season. Hunters spend time on well-managed private ranch acreage while still having the ability to hunt surrounding public land when patterns shift.
